Is it Too Late to Lay Down Our Industrial Floor Coatings This Winter?

Posted

Much of the country has been plunged into frigid winter temperatures now that the holiday season has arrived. If you didn't get around to putting down our industrial floor coatings earlier in the year, you might think you are out of luck and will have to wait for spring weather to roll around. While the temperature of your floor can affect your finished floor, there are things you can do to make the environment as perfect as possible this winter for a great industrial floor coating.

First, no matter what the season is, you'll want to make sure your floor is clean before you put down the industrial floor coating. Make sure it is thoroughly dry before application, which can take some extra time in cooler, more humid weather. Once your floor is dry, check the application recommendations for temperatures. If your area is too cold, warm it up with space heaters. You can rent industrial space heaters if necessary, which will quickly warm up your space and get it to the perfect temperature for application.

After that, application of your industrial floor coatings should follow standard procedures. Monitor the temperature of your room closely when applying the coatings--temperatures that are either too cold or too hot can have a negative affect on the finished look of your floor. If you have questions about any of our floor coatings or application instructions, give us a call! We'll help you make sure your floor looks its very best, no matter what the weather outside may be!
